Advance CleanupMay 12, 2008 | Kathryn MobleyPeople across the Triad are still cleaning up after two tornadoes hit last Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, the twisters moved through Greensboro..the Piedmont Triad International Airport, Colfax and yadkin and Davie Counties.
In Advance--damage estimates are more than 900 thousand dollars, officials say one person sustained minor injuries and 30 homes were damaged.
This weekend, WFDD visited two Advance families who live at the intersection of Highway 801 and Hillcrest Road...Tonya and Mark Ranney and Edward Brubaker. When we caught up with Tonya at her trailor home, she was cleaning up broken glass in her 14-year old daughter's bedroom.
That was Edward Brubaker...he and neighbors spent all day Saturday cutting fallen trees from around the front door of his trailor home.
And the first voice you heard was Tonya Ranney cleaning broken glass in her 14-year old daughter's bedroom.
