"Serial" Entrepreneur Takes Diversified Approach

Entrepreneur Mark Stone and business partner Richard Elmore have been aiming to open or acquire five business between 2008 and 2012 and they're almost there:


2008 - Bought Carolina Septic, a full-service septic and grease trap service firm;
2009 - Bought Carolina Dewatering, a grease processing business that serves Carolina Septic and other customers between Charlotte and Raleigh;
2010 - Opened CRST-Kernersville, which provides trucking services primarily for the construction industry;
2011 - Opened a Floor Coverings International franchise in Greensboro; and,
2012? - If the economy and other business demands line up, the next business may be in the multifamily real estate industry.
