The Business Report "Serial" Entrepreneur Takes Diversified Approach

Entrepreneur Mark Stone and business partner Richard Elmore have been aiming to open or acquire five business between 2008 and 2012 and they're almost there:
2008 - Bought Carolina Septic, a full-service septic and grease trap service firm; 2009 - Bought Carolina Dewatering, a grease processing business that serves Carolina Septic and other customers between Charlotte and Raleigh; 2010 - Opened CRST-Kernersville, which provides trucking services primarily for the construction industry; 2011 - Opened a Floor Coverings International franchise in Greensboro; and, 2012? - If the economy and other business demands line up, the next business may be in the multifamily real estate industry. Business Journal contributing writer and Wake Forest University Journalism Program director Justin Catanoso explores the distinct possibility of five new businesses in five years for Stone and Elmore.
