Triad Arts with David Ford University of North Carolina School of the Arts presents Oklahoma!April 20, 2011Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma is coming to the Triad compliments of the University of NC School of the Arts with performances from April 28 through May 8 at UNCSA’s Roger L. Stevens Center in downtown Winston-Salem. The school’s authentic restaging of the original broadway production will be close to exactly how it was when it first opened back in 1943. Tony, Drama Desk and two-time Emmy Award-winner, UNCSA Chancellor, and Oklahoma Musical Director John Mauceri stopped by WFDD to talk about this unique all-school production, legendary collaborators Rodgers and Hammerstein, and how Oklahoma almost single-handedly elevated the musical genre into a great collaborative art form.
