Triad Arts with David Ford Triad Arts weekend!April 22, 2011It's the best of all worlds. Bel Canto Company sings the exotic melodies and rhythms of distant lands by composers who may be new to you, plus they deliver a great big slice of Americana with music by Aaron Copland, W.C. Handy, Moses Hogan and many others. And speaking of Americana, the University of NC School of the Arts will transport us back to 1940s America. It’s an authentic recreation of the original 1943 Broadway production of a musical that’s about as American as apple pie, a place where the corn is as high as---well, you know the rest: Oklahoma! Bel Canto’s Welborne E. Young and UNCSA's John Mauceri on Triad Arts Weekend!
