Triad Arts with David Ford

Triad Arts Weekend!

August 5, 2011

Lee Terry and the Near Strangers have a new album out that's full of thoughtful original songs by guitarist/vocalist Lee Terry, and they're very nicely arranged by his wife violist/mandolinist/vocalist Susan. The duo will be performing live and unplugged at Christopher's Global Cuisine in Winston-Salem.

Winston-Salem Delta Fine Arts is currently presenting a fascinating photography exhibition. It’s called "Releasing the Spirit: Faces of the Theatre by Carmen L. de Jesus". The show of 30 black-and-white portraits of members of the African American theatre community will be on display during this week’s National Black Theatre Festival. Carmen was befriended by and studied with legendary photographer Bert Andrews. Andrews passed away in 1993, but his legacy lives on in Winston-Salem this month with a combined exhibition of his photography and that of his protege titled “Black Off Broadway—Images of African American Theatre.” Delta Fine Arts is proud to present the first combined exhibition of their works through September 3, 2011.

The Snyder Family Band sits down with TAUC host David Ford to share their love for Bluegrass and their new CD "Comin On Strong".
