Triad Arts with David Ford

Triad Arts Weekend!

July 8, 2011

Explore North Carolina, celebrate what you find, and protect it for future generations. That’s artist William Mangum’s goal with his new book of over 130 original paintings from the mountains to the coast: North Carolina Beautiful. A portion of the book’s proceeds will be donated to six organizations preserving the natural and historical beauty of Our State depicted in Bill’s paintings:

Children's Theatre of Winston-Salem General Manager Karen McHugh provides the summer camp update and a 2011 CTWS season preview on Triad Arts Weekend! This is part 2 of Karen's conversation with TAW host David Ford.

Then it's part 2 of David's interview with Global Initiatives Artist in Residence Todd Drake. Todd is building bridges between Muslims and non-Muslims in North Carolina, and around the globe with Muslim Self Portraits: a collection of photographs, collaged images, self-drawn portraits and short essays.

The exhibition will remain on display through August 2011 at the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in Greensboro.
