Triad Arts with David Ford

Triad Arts Weekend!

May 27, 2011

Jo Maeder is author of the Triad-based memoir "When I Married My Mother", and she's bookish on The Bookup on Triad Arts Up Close!

Hear the dynamic (formerly drummerless) Jews & Catholics duo of Eddie Garcia (vocals, guitar) and Allana Meltzer (upright bass, vocals) transform themselves into a power trio right before your very ears at The Garage in Winston-Salem, where they'll unveil the latest addition to the band: drummer extraordinaire, Tyler Reeder.

PLEASE NOTE: Also on the performance bill with Jews & Catholics will be their Durham friends Hammer No More the Fingers. Rat Jackson has had to cancel his appearance and will NOT be performing at The Garage on May 27.

Founded in New York in 1995 by acclaimed soprano Nancy Stokes Milnes, American Singers' Opera Project (ASOP) is now in its fifth year in Winston-Salem. Soprano and ASOP Director Barbara DeMaio Caprilli and tenor, ASOP Assistant Director and Associatate Professor of Music at Wake Forest University Richard Heard dropped by WFDD to talk AND SING about it on Triad Arts Up Close!
