Triad Arts with David Ford Sarod Master Gaurang Doshi in ConcertNovember 17, 2011The sarod (along with the sitar) is the most popular and prominent instrument in the classical music of Northern India. Its sympathetic strings give it a deep, resonant, reverberant quality compared with the texture of the sitar. Also the sarod is a fretless instrument able to mimic vocal qualities with continuous slides between notes. Sarod master Gaurang Doshi will share the unique sounds of his instrument in concert on Saturday, December 3, at 7:00pm in Brendle Recital Hall on the Wake Forest University campus.
