Triad Arts with David Ford No Rules Theatre Company presents Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated MothersMarch 12, 2012No Rules Theatre Company is an unusual, award-winning group that calls both Washington D.C., and Winston-Salem, North Carolina home. Next week, get set for No Rules' radically fresh retelling of the J.M. Barrie classic Peter Pan. The new adaptation by award-winning director Michael Lluberes is called Peter Pan: The Boy Who Hated Mothers. It tells the visceral story of the boy who wouldn't grow up in a way you've never seen before, and it's appropriate for ages 10 and up. The world premiere is March 20th at 8:00pm at The Hanesbrands Theatre, and it'll run through April 7, with Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Today on TAUC it's Peter himself, New York actor and University of NC School of the Arts alumnus John Evans Reese. He'll be making his No Rules debut as Peter Pan. John's Off-Broadway credits include the NYTimes Critic's Pick Way to Heaven, and he recently wrapped up film work in the Warner Brother's independent feature film Do Not Disturb with score by Danny Elfman. He spoke with TAUC host David Ford by cell phone from his home in New York City.
