Triad Arts with David Ford NPR\'s Paul Brown and The Appalachian State Old-Time Fiddlers\' ConventionJuly 25, 2011PLEASE NOTE: Today's show was originally scheduled to air on February 11, 2011 during Triad Arts Weekend. It was pre-empted on that date at 1:30pm by NPR’s live coverage of thousands of Egyptian anti-government protesters as they celebrated inside Tahrir Square. Their merry-making began immediately following the announcement of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's resignation in Cairo. So, five and a half months later here’s the second half of David Ford's interview with NPR’s Paul Brown.
NPR's Paul Brown is a man who wears many hats. WFDD's former production manager, news director, and program director also plays many instruments, and he plays them very well. Back in February, his banjo, fiddle and guitar playing were on full display at the 2011 Appalachian State Old-Time Fiddlers' Convention along with his wife, banjo and banjo uke player Terri McMurray, banjo player Adam Hurt, and guitarist Beth Hartness.
