The University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the Keenan Institute for the Arts have teamed up to create a new summer program that celebrates the music of the American South.
Music Academy of the American South on the UNCSA campus and Old Salem Museums & Gardens grounds will feature dynamic performances and workshops by a slew of noted international, national, and regional artists from Friday, June 8, through Sunday, June 10.
Among the artists participating in this inaugural year are The Del McCoury Band, Jim Lauderdale, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Tony Price.
