Composer Kenneth Frazelle

December 27, 2012

University of NC School of the Arts professor Kenneth Frazelle has composed music for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Renee Flemming and Bill T. Jones -- just to name a few.

The Columbus and North Carolina Symphonies will be performing Ken’s works later this season and next, and coming up in March at the Secrest Artists Series at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, the ensemble Strata will premiere a new work of Ken’s titled “A Book of Days” for violin, clarinet, and piano based on passages from Wake Forest University alumnus A. R. Ammons.

Ken and UNCSA conductor Jamie Allbritten dropped by to talk about another recent premiere: The Motion of Stone.
