Triad Arts with David Ford Centenary United Methodist Church presents Faith in FilmFebruary 23, 2012For years now, in addition to providing traditional services and church activities, Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem has been exploring faith through virtually all of the arts with poetry readings, painting, sculpture, music and now film. It’s the Faith in Film Series, and this year’s last film will be The Painted Veil Directed by John Curran, this Sunday, February 26 at 2PM. The series is hosted by former RiverRun Film Festival director Butter Birkas. She gives pre-film lectures and facilitates post-film discussions with audience members to provide deeper insight into each of the classic films presented throughout the season.
Associate Director for Collection Services and Systems at Wake Forest University and long-time Music and the Arts Ministry Team member at Centenary United Methodist Church, Alan Keely dropped by WFDD to talk about faith in film.
