Sports Commentaries Remembering William FridayOctober 15, 2012One man who was influential in North Carolina's collegiate system is being remembered. On October 12, William Friday died at 92. Many remember him for what he accomplished as president of the University of North Carolina. But WFDD's Sports Commentator Dave Goren says Friday was also very influential in college athletics. Goren is the Executive Director of National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) & Hall of Fame. It's based in Salisbury (NC).
