Tigerman on the Prowl

November 26, 2012

For 23 years, Minister Richard Groves led the congregation of Wake Forest Baptist Church on thecampus of Wake Forest University. Before that, he pastored a church in Boston, MA. It was during this time he met and befriended one homeless man who led him into a chaotic world. Along the way, he taught this insightful minister a new way of seeing the world. Minister Groves is now retired from the pulpit of Wake Forest Baptist Church. He teaches religion and philosophy at High Point University. He’s also a history buff and has edited several 17th century books on liberty of conscience. Minister Groves also edited a book of speeches by William Louis Poteat, the seventh president of Wake Forest College from 1905-1927. Wake Forest College became Wake Forest University in 1967 and was located in Winston-Salem, N.C.
