Real People, Real Stories The Taste of Southern LatinoNovember 20, 2011StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. Sandra Gutiérrez is a bicultural cooking instructor and a food writer. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Guatemala. Gutiérrez has been a resident of North Carolina for thirty years and considers herself a Southern-Latina. This morning, she describes to StoryLine Associate, Marisa Estelrich, how food can help bridge cultural differences and show us our commonality. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
