The Everyday Power of Storytellers

November 18, 2012

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.

Michael Malone is an author. He also won an Emmy Award as lead writer for the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live. Now, Dr. Malone works at Duke University as an English and Theater Studies Professor. Dr. Malone tells StoryLine Facilitator Jane Sobie he deeply believes in the power of story and explains being a good storyteller is essential to having success in everyday life.
