Speak Life into Your Family History

December 18, 2011

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. New York Times bestselling author, Lisa See, talks with Myles Thompson, Publisher at Columbia University Press. Ms. See is of Chinese descent and grew up spending much of her time with her father’s side of the family in Chinatown, Los Angeles. In this segment, she talks about the value of family storytelling and the crucial role oral history has played in her family’s life. StoryLine is a project of the Echo Network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtown, a continuing care retirement community where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
