Reaching Back to Help Up

January 6, 2013

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.

The congregation of Green Street United Methodist Church has a strong reputation of helping the less fortunate. And Pastor Kelly Carpenter describes parishioner Sarah Hill Carter, as one who will quickly jump in the trenches.

According to Carter, early in her childhood, she discovered the importance and reward of lending a hand to people who are trying to step up. And she believes reaching out is essential to building healthy communities.
