Politics strain Faith Communities

July 7, 2008

The Afhganistan war is in its 7th year, the Iraq war in its fifth. U.S. gas prices are pushing to 5 dollars a gallon for unleaded and unemployment numbers are rising. Today on Real People Real Stories, Guest Commentator Pastor Mike Macdonald fears the divisive strain of U.S. politics is now polarizing faith communities.

Pastor Mike Macdonald lives just outside of Charlotte in Mooresville with his wife and their twin teenagers. He leads the congregation at Broad Street United Methodist Church and enjoys writing columns.
