Nursing from the Ground Up

September 23, 2012

StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.

Helen Phillips and Beverly Watson crossed paths more than forty years ago. The two women met at the Kate B. Reynolds Memorial Hospital & School of Nursing in the 1960s. Phillips was the supervisor of the Surgical Unit. Watson was a nursing student. The long time friends talk about some of the changes medical staff have seen through the years.
