Real People, Real Stories Kavi, Young PoetDecember 3, 2012Many in the Triad are remember an area poet. Last week, Rodney Holman died after a prolonged illness. For several years, Holman performed in the Winston-Salem area and contributed his lyrical rhythms to WFDD’s Real People, Real Stories. Earlier this year, he published his first book of poems, entitled, The Universal Solvent. He was also an independent recording artist, worked at Carter G. Woodson School and at the Delta Arts Center. Both are in Winston-Salem. In this segment, Holman reflected on how some relationships only last for a season. And according to him, while these relationships are brief, they can generate a vibrant peace.
