This week on Storyline, Lawren and Jigar Desai are majority owners of a/perture, downtown Winston-Salem's art-house movie theater. Lawren is the General Manager and Curator.
a/perture presents independent, art and foreign films to the Winston-Salem community and aspires to bring back an intimate movie-going experience serving as an alternative destination to the traditional Cineplex. Recently, Lawren and Jigar celebrated the theatre's one-year anniversary.
StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
