Fueling Social Justice

November 5, 2012

Our nation’s history has shown, significant social change comes with great sacrifice. Last Saturday, people remembered that sacrifice in a cemetery as they honored five people murdered during a 1979 shooting at Morningside Homes. It and the aftermath thrust Greensboro into the national spotlight.

Guest commentator Signe Waller Foxworth is the author of Love and Revolution: A Political Memoir, People History of the Greensboro Massacre, Its Setting and Aftermath. This book chronicals the deadly shooting. According to Waller Foxworth, some history must repeat itself before the change is permanent. She explains on WFDD’s Real People Real Stories.
