Real People, Real Stories Following The KingJanuary 17, 2011Today people across the country are remembering the work and personal sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In the Piedmont Triad, many remember hearing him speak at Waite Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University. As he sacrificed to uplift an oppressed race, many others were inspired to publicly stand against discriminating laws in the Piedmont Triad.
Guest commentator Reverend Dr. Carlton Eversley is one of those people. He leads Dellabrook Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem. Dr. Eversley says Dr. King inspired him so much so that he chose the path of serving the less fortunate.
