Real People, Real Stories Fighting to be AcceptedJuly 17, 2011StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. In 1975, Andy Mekelski was three years old. That’s also when his biological mother gave him up for adoption. Then in 2000, he and his mother were reunited. But Andy’s efforts to reach out to his biological father have been met with disinterest. But Andy refuses to give up and in this StoryLine segment, he describes why its important to him to have a real relationship with the man who he wants to call, Dad. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
