Real People, Real Stories Coming HomeOctober 1, 2012There’s a saying, you can never go home again. But many have proved that to be untrue. Dr. English Bradshaw recently moved back to Winston-Salem after being away for more than 60 years. In this segment of WFDD’s Real People, Real Stories, Dr. Bradshaw explains what has lured him back home.
Next Sunday afternoon, Dr. Bradshaw will participate in a panel discussion hosted by the Forsyth County Public Library. It’s associated with the On The Same Page novel, Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. It chronicles the migration of six million African Americans from the South between World War One and the 1970’s.
Dr. Bradshaw is also author of several books. His titles include: My Father’s Business; Lifting The Veil, a political and historical documentary of Tuskegee Institute, AL; Guardian Of The Estate, a biography of America’s first African American male millionaire; The King’s Shadow, a theological novel depicting the journey and development of Christianity; Unconditional Thinking, a critical analysis of pedagogical theological polemics; a seven volume Charlie’s series of children’s books and young adults; and Fartology Today, a book of humor.
