Real People, Real Stories Beloved CommunityAugust 14, 2011StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. Nigel Alston is the Executive Director for Marketing, Alumni and Community Relations at Winston-Salem State University. One of his good friends is Reverend Douglass Bailey, Founder/President of The Center for Urban Ministry Inc. at the Wake Forest University School of Divinity. This week on StoryLine, Reverend Bailey reflects on the significance of working in a ministry during the 1960s. He says some early experiences helped to shape his life perspective while also fueling his desire for a beloved community. StoryLine is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
