Real People, Real Stories A Pastor\’s WifeMay 20, 2012StoryLine gives voice to everyday people throughout our community as they share the experiences that shape their lives. It is a project of the ECHO network and is made possible by the generosity of Salemtowne, a continuing care retirement community, where every life shines and stories are celebrated.
Elaine Ragland was married to a Baptist pastor for almost 40 years. But after her husband’s death, she moved from Richmond, Virginia to Winston-Salem, putting her closer to her children and grandchildren. The move also brought her closer to her good friend and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Sister Naomi Jones. In this segment of StoryLine, Ragland describes to Jones what it was like to be a pastor’s wife.
