A Dream Deferred, Not Denied

October 15, 2012

As children, we’re encouraged to dream, and often told if we work hard, some of those dreams will come true. But they can take a different form than what was expected. WFDD’s Real People, Real Stories guest commentator Linda Vaughn remembers her late mother, Mrs. Mary Lee Hill. Today would have been her 100th birthday. Vaughn describes Hill as a non-traditional teacher who taught her a very important lesson--some dreams are worth a life-time of sacrifice.

Vaughn is a Triad real estate land broker based in Greensboro. This story is one of many in her recently published memoir, The Second Room on the Right.
